Say with me, “God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble — more than enough and always available whenever I need you. So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea.
“God, you are my righteousness, my Champion Defender. Answer me when I cry for help! Whenever I was in distress, you enlarged me. “I’m being squeezed again—I need your kindness right away! Grant me your grace, hear my prayer, and set me free!
“Now, because of you, Lord, I will lie down in peace and sleep comes at once, for no matter what happens, I will live unafraid!”
And now, the Lord reassures us, saying,
“Honor me by trusting in me in your day of trouble. Cry aloud to me, and I will be there to rescue you.
“I will greatly protect you. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor.
“I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!”
Amen! So be it!

Dear God, Heavenly Father,
Father, your Word teaches us to honor you by trusting you when we are in trouble, so that’s what we’re doing now!
Lord, we need your help today, and it’s urgent! Lord, this thing troubles us, it threatens us, and it makes us very afraid…
Our eyes are fixed on you, Lord, because only you can help us. When we look at our trouble, we are so scared, so worried, so fearful. But when we look at you Lord, we can rest, and sleep.
With men, it seems impossible, but we believe that with God all things are possible! We declare it loudly, so that every evil power can hear it, “WE WILL TRUST IN THE LORD!”
We believe that everything will work for our good… Thank you Lord, for being our Helper today!
In Jesus’ Name we pray…
