The Proven Way To Be Happy

Are you looking for a proven way to be happy? Then read on!

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the Law of the Lord,
And on His Law he meditates day and night.
Psalm 1:1-2 NASB

BLESSED means “happy”. Very happy!

You are happy when you DO NOT take the advice of bad people – especially if they are teaching you how to get rich.

You are happy when you DO NOT live the lifestyle of people who sin against God – even if they appear to be successful.

You are happy when you DO NOT spend time with people who look down on others – especially if they laugh at good people who do things God’s way.

You are happy when YOU DO believe that the Bible contains God’s valuable instructions on how to be successful in life, and you take pleasure in reading it!

You are happy when YOU DO choose to think about and repeatedly speak Bible verses to yourself, instead of worrying about bad things that may happen.

You are happy when YOU DO continuously meditate on – think and speak – God’s Word, from the time you wake up till the time you go to bed.

Ah, I know what you’re thinking.

You think that’s not practical.

You think that works for the pastor or the priest, but not for real people who have struggles at work or difficulties in school.

You think meditating on the Bible isn’t a priority, because all you have on your mind is earning a living or fixing a relationship.

Somehow, you actually believe the words of people who have become rich, famous and successful in this world doing it ‘their way’, more than the words of the One who created you, loved you and sent his Son to die for you.

Dear friend, why don’t you trust what God says? That’s what faith is after all – believing what God says and leaning your entire life on his words.

He paints this picture of your future:

He will be like a tree planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
Psalm 1:3 NASB

Memorise that. Believe it.

Keep meditating on the Word and like that tree, you will become happy and successful, God’s way!
