The Miracle Waiting In Your Hands

Let me tell you about the Miracle that’s about to happen in your hands. In Matthew 14:13-21, a massive crowd of 5,000 men, plus many women and children, had gone to a deserted place to be healed by Jesus. When evening came, this group of almost 20,000 people were about to be scattered into the surrounding villages to buy their own food.

But Jesus told his disciples, “YOU give them something to eat.”

How amazing! In a place where no food was to be found, Jesus EXPECTED his disciples to feed twenty thousand people. But the disciples couldn’t do it, because they looked at what they had – and it wasn’t enough!

Do you think Jesus created a magic mountain of food, holding in his hands enough to feed 20,000 people?

No, Jesus took only what they had – 5 loaves and 2 fish – and broke them into smaller pieces. Then he placed those little bits in the disciple’s hands, and said go! He sent them out with just 5 loaves and 2 fish. How they must have wondered, comparing the size of the hungry crowd to the little they held in their hands!

But it was in those hands that a great miracle happened. In those hands, food enough for 20,000 people was produced that evening. In those hands, so much was created that 12 basketfuls of leftovers were collected.

The miracle happened not in Jesus’ hands, but in the hands of the disciples!

Brother and sister, God has a vision to meet the needs of many people, and he isn’t limited by the little that is brought to him.

When he gives the word, just obey and go forward with whatever he places in your hands to give. It may appear small next to the need, but it will be enough.

The little you carry will begin to MULTIPLY in YOUR HANDS and you’ll have more than enough for everyone.

Dear friend, a miracle is waiting to happen, right in your hands!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for caring for us, for desiring to meet our most practical needs. Thank you Lord, that you care for us when we’re hungry and have little in our hands!

Lord, thank you for revealing how you’ve chosen to make miracles happen on earth. Lord, surely we are not worthy to be used by you, but that’s the miracle of your grace!

Lord, today we believe that a miracle is waiting to happen in our hands, and we ask for grace to trust you, and we ask for faith to obey your simple word.

Thank you Lord, for the provision flowing through our hands!

In Jesus’ Name we pray,
