Do you know that God has bound himself contractually to bless you? That’s the new covenant of the bible!
The word ‘covenant’ refers to a contract between 2 parties. Under the old covenant of the bible, you were blessed if you obeyed all of God’s commands. If you failed, you received punishment or death.
But Jesus came to establish a new agreement between you and God! Under this new covenant,
- You obey the Spirit of God inside your heart instead of obeying written rules
- God makes himself your Father-God and declares that you belong to him as his child
- You know God personally and can be close to him without going through another person
- God forgives your mistakes and forgets all your sins
When you accept Jesus and come under this new covenant, there is peace with God. You are no longer condemned for your faults. Through his death on the cross Jesus has kept your part of the new covenant. Through the perfection of Jesus, you have obeyed all of God’s laws!
Friend, that’s why you can now confidently expect a life of blessing when you receive Jesus and come under the promises of the new covenant! Receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord now!
