Find Strength When You Need It

Published 27 February 2022 by John in // Upward

Do you feel overwhelmed because there’s just so much for you to take care of? If you’re feeling powerless, God has strength ready for you!

Our family, our friends, our health, our business. Our job, our responsibilities, our hopes, our plans.

Is everything and everyone crying out for your attention, perhaps all at once?

Taking care of everything, all alone, can be like fighting strong currents in deep water.

As we struggle to keep our heads above water, we realise how weak we actually are!

How can we be strong in the middle of these overwhelming demands?

Here’s the answer from the Bible:

I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you.”

So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me. For this reason I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NCV

Amen!

GOD’S GRACE IS ENOUGH for you, even in the middle of the problem!

GOD’S POWER is made PERFECT in you, even when you are weak!

CHRIST’S POWER LIVES in you, when you are not ashamed of your own weaknesses!

So receive God’s grace. Let his power shine through in your weakness. Then you will be truly strong!

Dear Father,

We are here in complete weakness, unable to help ourselves or help others.

Lord, the problems of life feel like deep water over our heads, and surely you know!

Right now, we receive your supernatural strength. We believe your Word that says in our weakness, your strength becomes perfect!

Father, we believe that as we experience the demands of life, we can see your grace made real in our lives. Your strength will bring us results we don’t deserve – by grace.

Lord, it is by grace, and by your strength made perfect in our weakness, that we praise you today!

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen!
